The World Cup winner has signed a two-year contract with AS Monaco, committing to the club until June 30, 2027. He aims to rejuvenate his career after serving the suspension.

Doping Ban and Subsequent Appeal

In February 2024, Pogba received a four-year ban after testing positive for DHEA, a substance known to elevate testosterone levels. "AS Monaco are delighted to announce the arrival of Paul Pogba. The French World Champion has signed a two-season deal, having signed with the Principality until 30 June 2027," the club stated.

Pogba's Career Trajectory

Pogba initially rose to prominence with Manchester United before establishing himself as a key player for Juventus. During his time with the Turin-based club, he secured four Serie A titles. In 2016, he returned to Manchester United for a then-world record fee of 89 million pounds.

However, his second stint with the Premier League side yielded only two trophies. He subsequently left the club on a free transfer, rejoining Juventus in 2022. Unfortunately, his second period at Juventus was marred by injuries, leading to his departure.

International Career and Monaco's Season

Pogba's last appearance for France was in 2022, and he was unable to participate in the Qatar World Cup due to injury. Last season, Monaco finished third in Ligue 1, trailing behind PSG and Marseille.
