Moto G54 Gets Significant Price Cut in India: Is It the Best Budget Phone Now?

If you're considering a budget-friendly smartphone, the Moto G54 is now an even more attractive option. Launched last year, both variants of the Moto G54 have received significant price cuts. This device boasts an FHD+ display and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity chipset.

New Pricing Details

Motorola introduced the Moto G54 in India in September of the previous year. The smartphone was originally launched in two configurations:

• 8GB RAM + 128GB storage
• 12GB RAM + 256GB storage

These were initially priced at ₹15,999 and ₹18,999, respectively.

The 8GB variant now sees a ₹2,000 price reduction, bringing the cost down to ₹13,999. Meanwhile, the 12GB version benefits from a larger ₹3,000 discount, now retailing at ₹15,999.

The Moto G54 is available in Mint Green, Midnight Blue, and Pearl Blue color options.

Moto G54 Specifications

The Moto G54 features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels. The screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness level of up to 560 nits. The display is protected by a layer of Panda Glass.

Powering this Motorola smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset. It is available in the aforementioned two variants – 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. Storage can be expanded up to 1TB via a microSD card.

The Moto G54 runs on Android 13, layered with Motorola's My UX. It features a dual rear camera setup:

• 50MP main sensor (f/1.8 aperture)
• 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2 aperture)

For selfies, there's a 16MP front camera with an f/2.4 aperture.

Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance. The device is powered by a 6000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging.
