The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), operating under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, has issued a high-severity warning for users of the Android operating system.
The report indicates that several security flaws have been identified across multiple versions of Android. The agency alerts users to these vulnerabilities.
According to the report, attackers could exploit multiple vulnerabilities in Android to obtain sensitive information, gain elevated privileges, execute arbitrary code, or trigger denial-of-service conditions on affected systems.
These vulnerabilities stem from flaws in the Framework, System, AMLogic, Arm components, MediaTek components, Qualcomm components, and Qualcomm closed-source components.
Successful exploitation of these flaws could allow attackers to steal sensitive data, escalate privileges, execute malicious code, or cause a denial of service.
The vulnerabilities impact a range of Android versions, including Android 11, Android 12, Android 12L, Android 13, and Android 14. Both Android smartphones and tablets are affected.
CERT-In strongly advises users to apply the latest security patches available for their devices.
