Shai Hope was dismissed in the most bizarre fashion in Match 17 of the Caribbean Premier League between Trinbago Knight Riders and Guyana Amazon Warriors as he got hit wicket on a wide delivery. In the 14th over of the innings bowled by Terrance Hinds, Hope tried to play a switch hit.
With the delivery going wide outside the off stump, he got into an awkward position and tried to whack it towards third man. However, much to his dismay, Hope ended up hitting the stumps with his bat and got dismissed on a wide delivery. As a result, he had to return to the pavilion after scoring 39 (29) with the help of three fours and one six.
